February 19, 2019 - To highlight opportunities in the workplace, KET and the Kentucky Department of Workforce Investment have created In Demand, a collection of videos focusing on high-demand career sectors— manufacturing, construction, business & IT, logistics & transporta­tion, and healthcare—in which there are currently thousands of job vacancies.

Black History Month Programming

January 30, 2019 - To honor Black History Month, and as part of our commitment to celebrate the diversity of America year-round, KET will air a collection of documentaries and specials that highlight the African-American experience throughout the month of February.

The 2019 KET Young Writers Contest

January 1, 2019 - Students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to submit stories and poems for the 2019 KET Young Writers Contest. The contest, which runs through April 15, encourages students in KET’s viewing area to celebrate the power of crafting stories, poems and illustrations by submitting their own, original work.

High School Graduation Requirements on Kentucky Tonight

December 11, 2018 - Renee Shaw and guests discuss new high school graduation requirements on Kentucky Tonight, Monday, December 17 at 8/7 pm on KET. Scheduled guests include KY Education Commissioner Wayne Lewis; KY Board of Education member Gary Houchens; Brigitte Blom Ramsey, executive director of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence; and Eric Kennedy with the KY School Boards Association.
