KET Young Writers Contest: What’s New for 2022!

For decades, young authors have turned to the KET Young Writers Contest to share their work. As the needs of young writers, their parents, and their teachers change, so too, does the YWC. What once was a contest intended only for kindergarten, first, and second graders has blossomed to be inclusive of students in preschool through twelfth grade. And where once only illustrated stories were accepted, the contest has grown to encompass four separate categories: illustrated stories, short stories, poetry, and now – graphic novels. This session will highlight the changes as well as new, free instructional resources to help students prep for the contest or just learn more about writing, illustrating, and more. Come with any questions that you would like answered!
