Celebrating Graduates from Rhode Island

Lynn Foley, an instructor with Rhode Island Regional Adult Learning (RIRAL) has shared the successes of two adult learners who recently passed rigorous testing to earn a GED. KET’s online, on-demand FastForward course was part of each learner’s preparation.

“We are honored to have served these learners and their instructors during the process of meeting this important personal and educational goal,” commented Dr. Sarah Wilkins, Director of Adult and Workforce Education at KET. “We celebrate all they have accomplished and what is yet to come!”

RIRAL graduates:

Lauren Viera who is described by her instructor as being focused on her goal and very self motivated. “Lauren worked through FastForward to earn her GED® credential. She completed almost every lesson in preparation,” explained Ms. Foley. Lauren is one of the first graduates of 2022 with the RIRAL program.

Josh Renaud (pictured above), a former RIRAL student who passed and earned his GED credential in February 2021, is described by Ms. Foley as a student she knew was going to go far. Josh is now enrolled in college and making strides in his career. Read his story here.
