Education Matters spotlights new Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship program

Hal Heiner, secretary of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet, discusses the new Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship program in Help Wanted Kentucky: Education Matters.

Secretary Heiner joins KET’s Renee Shaw to share details of the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship program, which provides tuition for Kentucky residents enrolling in qualifying higher education programs in healthcare, business and IT, construction trades, advanced manufacturing and transportation and logistics. The scholarship is available to adult learners who have graduated high school, or who have earned or are working toward their GED® credential, but who have not yet earned an associate’s degree or higher.
