When Lynn Foley, an instructor with Rhode Island Regional Adult Learning (RIRAL) first encountered Josh Renaud, she knew he was not her typical adult learner. He was a former honor student and once enrolled in AP classes. He is motivated, knows how to set goals, accomplish objectives and work toward next steps consistently. She immediately knew he needed support that looked a little different than most.

KET’s Workplace Essential Skills is getting a new content addition early in 2021. The upgrade will add a job search module to each of the contextualized career fields so students can learn how to best search for jobs within specific career sectors. They will be able to create resumes and evaluate them against recommendations made within the Workplace Essential Skills courses.

KET recently participated in GED® Testing Services’ social media Grad Day celebration. “Adult education programs all across America utilize KET’s online learning system, FastForward, to enable their adult learners to prepare for and successfully pass the GED® test”, said Tonya Crum, Senior Director of Education for KET. “We are honored to play a small part in the accomplishments of so many students and staff. We could only highlight a few in a short video clip but we celebrate the success of graduates everywhere.”
