KET's current events program for students, News Quiz, has produced a special episode to get Kentucky classrooms ready to watch. In addition, PBS LearningMedia features a wide variety of free educational resources to help both classrooms and families celebrate the upcoming total solar eclipse.

Join KET Education at the annual KySTE Spring Conference March 13-15 in Louisvillle, Kentucky. Educators from around the state attend the event, billed as the largest education technology conference in the south-central United States. Stop by the KET booth to learn more about the resources and workshops we provide. We’ll have giveaways, photo ops and a special guest from the PBS KIDS series Arthur. KET staff and KET All Stars will also be on hand to present several sessions.

KET Education is excited to announce the 2024 KET Young Writers Contest is open for submissions! The annual contest seeks to celebrate creativity through four categories of writing – Illustrated Story, Short Story, Poetry, and Graphic Novels. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, March 31, 2024. There is no set theme, allowing your PreK – 12th grade students to explore the depths of their own interests and creativity.

New PBS KIDS series Lyla in the Loop

Lyla in the Loop follows Lyla, a dynamic 7-year-old girl who lives in a big city with her close-knit family, her fantastical blue sidekick Stu and a host of relatable and quirky characters in her community. Lyla relies on creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills to design and test her ideas and build imaginative contraptions.
