New Creative Writing Toolkit now available

With their imaginative storytelling, integrated illustrations and creative use of text, graphic novels have assumed a lasting place in the hearts of both children and adults alike. By designing their own graphic novels, students can hone their writing skills while expressing themselves through this creative medium.

The new KET Young Writers Contest Creative Writing Toolkit: Graphic Novels offers a variety of activities to enable student success. Download it for free on the Young Writers Contest website. 

Ready to start writing? The 2022 KET Young Writers Contest is now accepting submissions! Take a peek at our new, inclusive grade levels and even a new category… Graphic Novels! Visit our new website to check out all of the categories, writing resources, rules, rubrics and even past winners, then get creating!   

Winners will be awarded by grade band, with first place receiving a $100 gift card, second place receiving a $50 gift card and third place receiving a $25 gift card. Winning works will also be published online.   

The contest deadline is April 15, 2022. We can’t wait to share the creativity and imagination of talented students from across the Commonwealth!
