National Career Development Month

The National Career Development Association designates November as Career Development Month each year. Many of the events and resources associated with this initiative are designed for K-12 schools but let’s face it, career development is a K-lifetime practice!

Adult learners are often participating in programming for the purpose of gaining credentials, skills and experiences that lead to new or better career opportunities. KET encourages adult educators to focus more intently on career development activities during the month of November. To help, we are happy to share FREE resources like interactive lessons, videos and supporting materials for adults through PBS LearningMedia.

For adult students who need practice or instruction in math and language arts skills, check out Workplace Essential Skills, KET’s online course where instruction is contextualized within high demand career fields. Each licensed seat opens the course for all career sectors and the soft skills component. Best of all the course is very cost effective at only $20 per seat.
