Resources for World Mental Health Day

Children and teens experience a full range of emotions during a school day. And in challenging times, it’s important for students to understand what they’re feeling and to develop empathy for others. The study of social and emotional learning is designed to help students develop their emotional intelligence and relationship skills.

KET recently created a collection of resources, found on PBS LearningMedia, to help educators and parents work with children’s emotional development and engage them i projects and exercises that build their social and emotional skills.

Visit KET Education’s new Youth Mental Health page to learn more about social and emotional learning and other youth mental health focused resources available to educators. You’ll find a wealth of videos and activities available on PBS LearningMedia, comprehensive professional development courses, and full episodes from KET’s youth mental health initiative.
