Realism: Still Life

Painter Sheldon Tapley talks about his process, from preparing the masonite panel to the laying on of paint to the decision about what to paint. Tapley especially loves oil paint and he demonstrates some customized brushes that he has created. He says he moved from painting large outdoor landscapes to still lifes because he enjoys drawing “what is in front of me.”
