Celebrating Graduates From Two California Adult Education Programs

Mr. E Chaffino, an instructor with the El Rancho Adult School Program and the El Rancho Unified School District, has shared the successes of two recent graduates of his program, brothers Jesus Rivas and Diego Rivas, who recently passed rigorous testing to earn GED® credentials. Mr. Chaffino shared that Jesus and Diego recently immigrated to California and immediately started to work to support their family. They completed their studies together to gain their high school equivalency credentials in hopes of having more opportunities in the future. We wish them all the best!

Ms. Karen Marino, an instructor from the Whittier Adult School, told us about graduate Reece Vialva’s accomplishments. “Reece began his studies with us in 2020 and stuck with his commitment to finish and earn his high school equivalency credential through two very tough pandemic years,” she explained. Way to go, Reece!

KET’s online, on-demand FastForward course was part of each learner’s preparation.

“We are honored to have served these learners and their instructors during the process of meeting these important personal and educational goals,” commented Dr. Sarah Wilkins, Director of Adult and Workforce Education at KET. “We celebrate all they have accomplished and what is yet to come!”

KET congratulates Mr. Chaffino and Ms. Marino and the work they do to support adult learners. Watch for these graduates to be featured again in the upcoming GED Grad Day video airing in May 2022.
