Tomlinson Learning Center Graduates

Holly Heintz, an instructor with the former Tomlinson Learning Center shared the successes of Kenny Reddick and Aleksandra Perisic. Both recently passed rigorous testing to earn a GED®. KET’s online, on-demand FastForward course was part of their preparation.

“We are honored to have served these learners and their instructors during the process of meeting this important personal and educational goal,” commented Dr. Sarah Wilkins, Director of Adult and Workforce Education at KET. “We celebrate all they have accomplished and what is yet to come!”

“Kenny overcame numerous obstacles on his way to earning a GED credential. Very pertinent to his success was his use of KET’s FastForward program and the functionality it provides for him to change the background color on the screen. Kenny is legally blind and the ability to turn the screen blue made all the difference for him. We affectionately call the color ‘Kenny blue’,” explained Heintz.

“Aleksandra persisted in her studies and found the math section of FastForward gave her the tools and practice she needed to achieve her diploma,” Heintz said.

KET congratulates Ms. Heintz, Kenny, Aleksandra and the work being done in Pinellas county. Watch for FL graduates to be featured in the upcoming GED Grad Day video airing in May 2022.
