Welcome to the 2023 Young Writers Contest

KET Education is excited to announce the 2023 Young Writers Contest is open for submissions! The annual contest seeks to celebrate creativity through four categories of writing – Illustrated Story, Short Story, Poetry, and Graphic Novels. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, March 31, 2023. Winners will be announced no later than May 30, 2023.

Looking for inspiration? You can read the last year’s winning stories and poems as well as listen to audio versions from the authors themselves! Plus, don’t miss our new Creative Writing Toolkits that supply classroom-ready lessons and activities to guide you in introducing and exploring our contest categories.

As if back-to-school isn’t exciting enough, we’re excited to announce the authors, illustrators, and creators included in the 2022-2023 On the Same Page series!

These 30-minute, LIVE, FREE, virtual sessions will bring award-winning, nationally recognized, and published creators directly to your students to explore the variety of processes, inspirations, and backgrounds found within the world of writing and illustrating. In addition to learning from, and working alongside these authors, copies of authors’ works will be given away during each session. Check out the line-up and register now to secure your spot.
