Celebrate America250 with KET Summer PD Days
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, KET Education invites K-12 educators to join us this summer for one of four engaging professional learning events focused on civics and social studies, hosted at exciting sites across the Commonwealth.
Choose the date and location that works best for you:
- June 16 – Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, Owensboro
- June 18 – Center for Rural Development, Somerset
- July 28 – Natural Bridge State Park, Slade
- July 30 – Sons of the American Revolution Education Center and Museum, Louisville
You’ll earn 6 hours of FREE professional development credit while participating in interactive workshops and primary source-based activities that connect Kentucky history, government and civic engagement to your curriculum. You’ll also hear from partner organizations who will share resources and programs that support high-quality civics and social studies instruction.
Lunch and light snacks will be provided. Participants will leave with practical takeaways and ready-to-use materials to extend the learning back to their schools and districts.
These events are FREE, but space is limited. Registration is required to attend.
