KET videos bring state Capitol and civics to students

February 23, 2021 - The Kentucky State Capitol has been closed to in-person tours because of the coronavirus pandemic since March 2020. However, students can now take a virtual trip there, thanks to new video tours from KET. But the new resources don’t stop there. KET is also publishing new materials each month for Social Studies Shorts, a new collection for grades 4-8.

Rhode Island Woman Works Toward Post-Pandemic Opportunities Using KET’s FastForward

February 21, 2021 - When Covid-19 pandemic hampered her job at an assisted living community, Vanessa Stamatakos got busy and completed her GED®. She studied an average of 4 hours per day for 4 months utilizing KET’s FastForward online course and passed all 4 subjects to earn her high school equivalency credential. She is now enrolled in college full-time.

Field trip to Kentucky State Capitol is now available!

February 19, 2021 - In a typical year, hundreds of Kentucky students make the trek to Frankfort to visit the Kentucky State Capitol. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Capitol has been closed to in-person tours since March 2020. However, students can now take a virtual trip there, thanks to new video tours from KET.
