Early Childhood Professional Development

Need to earn credits towards your annual training requirements? KET offers a variety of options to fit your training needs. Course and workshop options include:

  • Face to Face — KET provides free, for-credit workshops for early childhood professionals aimed at increasing educator effectiveness and family engagement. Learn more and schedule a workshop. *Please note: We require a minimum of 15 participants.

For a small administrative fee, our child care training program offers:

  • Online — Many of KET’s online courses include all materials needed (including video) to complete them online. Other online courses require access to videos from the local library to complete coursework.
  • DVDs/Paper Coursework — A selection of KET productions on parenting and early childhood education are available for purchase on DVD with course work available to complete coursework.
  • Lending Library Paper & Online Coursework — Through a partnership with the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives, you may obtain additional programs on videotape/DVD through your local library. This option is ONLY available to Kentucky residents.

For your convenience, all courses are marked with training levels, CDA subject areas, and Core Content labels. Multiple sorting options are also available to make finding and selecting your classes easy.  All KET early childhood courses are administered by a trainer who has obtained a Level 4 Kentucky Early Childhood Trainer Credential.
