2020 Virtual Learning Series Ends Soon

We’re entering the final stretch of KET Education’s Virtual Learning Series of webinars and we have a powerhouse line-up built to energize teaching and student engagement this winter. Webinars happen each Thursday at 4:30 pm ET and PD credit is provided.

First up on October 29, join KET Education All-Star and PBS Digital Innovator Dee Dee Webb to learn about using Screencastify and Edpuzzle to record videos and then track student viewing progress. Believe us… it is game-changing!

Next join PBS Digital All-Star Ashley Judd on November 5 for a look inside her techy teaching toolbox. She will highlight tech tools that you can easily use to make virtual or in-person learning more interactive and engaging like Pear Deck, Jamboard, FlipGrid, and Teacher Made.

Our KET Education Consultants will finish the series later in November with back-to-back opportunities to keep your students engaged. Larry Moore will show you how to fully immerse your students in U.S. history with the newest Mission US adventure on November 12. Mission US creates gaming scenarios to increase students’ understanding of our nation’s past.

Finally, on November 19 Lynn Shafer and Amy Grant will highlight how our Young Writers Contest can encourage and support the young artists and writers in your life. They’ll provide tips and resources to help make the most of this annual contest.

Plus, did you know our Early Childhood team is also presenting webinars every Thursday? They’ll cover social and emotional development and highlight the amazing resources available from the Sesame Street in Communities project. And they’re ending the 2020 series with a free PBS KIDS Edcamp “un-conference” opportunity.

You can pre-register for all of these webinars now and we’ll send reminders and session links as each event approaches.
